Rules are decided with consent of Staff & Students to do so. Once a rule has been decided & displayed on college bulletin board, all are required to maintain discipline & self-scrutiny.
House/Examination and Attendance
- House Tests are held twice a year.
- Monthly tests in all the subjects are mandatory for B.Ed. class.
- Exemption from any House Examination or Monthly Test will not be given except under very exceptional circumstances.
- Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students who absent themselves from the House Examination or Monthly tests. Absence from House Examination or Monthly test will also liable a student to heavy fine.
- No mercy test will be conducted in the college. Hence the internal assessment of the students who fail to appear in the examinations will not be sent, they will have to secure at least 40% marks in each examination or else, they will not be allowed to appear in the final exams. Any student, who fails to appear in any of the examination papers, for whatever reason, will not be entitled to annual academic prize.
- At least 75% attendance is essential to appear in the annual examination. Special prize will be given to those with 100% attendance.
Other Rules and Regulations
- Wearing of the college uniform is compulsory during college hours and at the college functions. The uniform consists of shirt with white salwar or saree from Tuesday to Friday and white uniform is compulsory on Monday.
- The college is pledged to strict vegetarianism. Taking of meat, eggs, fish or any preparation thereof is strictly prohibited in the college campus.
- The college enforces simplicity in dress. The wearing of all Rinds of gold and diamond ornaments is also discouraged.
- A student who wishes to withdraw from the college can do so by sending an application addressed to the Principal duly signed by the guardian.
- Guardians and parents will please note that visitors are not allowed to see the students during college hours.
- The visiting hours for visitors to meet the Principal are from 12.00 noon to 1.30 p.m.
- A student who misbehaves or creates nuisance in the college will be dealt firmly by the Principal.
Important
- At the time of admission each student is issued a library cum’ identity card. Always keep this card in person. It can be checked at any time.
- The college will start at 9 A.M. all students should be punctual. Students who are coming from far off places should make their own arrangement for staying at Chandigarh. No excuse will be entertained for their coming late to the college.
- Do not miss any period when you are present in the college. If you do so, you will be identified and action will be taken against you.
- If you have some urgent work at home, get leave from the college. Tutor will sanction Leave up to two days only and for more than two da,. by the Principal, only if recommended by your
tutor.
- The Principal will grant all medical leave. This leave application should be supported by a valid medical certificate, and recommended by your tutor.
- Take monthly tests and house tests, because your internal assessment will mainly depend upon your performance in these tests.
- Actively, participate in all activities of the college, so that your teachers can help you in identifying your talents. Always I:leep perfect discipline and decorum.
- No Note taking during classes allowed as students fail to realize the importance of delivery styles and methods. Understand that to build a confident teacher takes more than just getting good in studies.
